Hearst Castle, San Simeon

The outdoor pool at Hearst Castle at San Simeon, south of Monterey, California. There are hundreds of people on tour here at one time. The castle took 28 years to build, and included a zoo, about 30 guest rooms and two pools. WR Hearst was a Media and Mining mogul, the building has been given to the State.

Pittsburgh Pirates

We went to see the Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Minnesota Twins in the second game in a series at PNC stadium in Pittsburgh. The hottest day Pittsburgh has had this year, saw the locals lose to the Twins. The have a decider tomorrow night in the best-of-3 series. This photo shows the Pittsburgh skyline beyond the stadium. We started the day seeing the Andy Warhol Museum.

The Met has been incredible - you could spend weeks here. The view from the roof garden is spectacular, taking in all the buildings surrounding Central Park. Not all rooms were as busy as Van Gogh's.
