The APT is on at GOMA for the coming months - until April 14. It is a huge show - and it helps to have a tour to get a quick overview, and then check out various spaces more intently. It shows art that geographically represents half the world.
Standouts for me were: An-My Le, a Vietnamese American Photographer (she uses a large format 8x10 View Camera from the 19th Century) and Susan Jacobs, Australian Sculptor. The above shot is taken from the third floor looking down on the foyer gallery. Waiting at the Goldcoast airport for a flight to Auckland. It's been raining heavily and the flight is delayed for an hour.
I liked the shapes in this photo - the composition might make a good sculpture. |
